I used to sell all of my books I review through Amazon. I mean, it was the biggest online book store I could imagine!! They carried just about everything, and I could customize my online book store… it was beautiful.
Then one day, I got a notice from Amazon that affiliates from Colorado could no longer work with Amazon. Something about sales tax. I was wrecked. Not only would I have to find a new online book store, but I would also have to go through my hundreds of books and re-link them. OY!!!
Thankfully, on that very same day, I discovered that our locally-owned, locally-grown, and woman-owned bookstore, where, as a child, I loved to spend hours of my time, had a huge online bookstore!!!!
AND the Tattered Cover also had super cool folks managing their online social media. It was absolutely a win-win for me. Now I have no hesitation referring ya’ll out to buy your books from them. Yes, they’re not the big guys at Amazon– and to me, that wasn’t a problem, but a giant benefit.
You’d think that maybe a local bookstore would limit my readers from purchasing, but thus far I’ve seen no change between the quality and purchasing ease having switched. In fact, I’m 100% certain that if you had a problem with your order through Tattered Cover, you’re far more likely to find a real live person that will help you out. Never underestimate the joys of customer service!!
Anyway, I’m sure that bringing your business to Tattered Cover and therefore supporting A Perilously Precocious Librarian, will be as lucrative to YOU as it has been for me.
In Love,
Miss Ash
