This was a special gift from my mom-in-law, one that even years later I still hold near and dear to my spirit. Much like dowsing, and ironically, similar to Bible prophesying described in Augusten Burrough’s Running with Scissors, you hold the book in your hands, think of a problem, and then open the book for an answer.
Behind the dust cover lies a deep crimson red book with beautiful binding. The passages are thoughtfully selected quotes by numerous great thinkers like Khalil Gibran, Lao Tse, Gita Bellin, Buddha, and more.
Does dowsing like this work? Emphatically, yes. Not because I necessarily believe there’s a spiritual guide drawing me into reading a specific passage, but because I believe that ultimately we know what we need and have to do. If we are given a hint, we can easily decide the path that is best for ourselves.
My Ranking:
Four Flurs. Because this is a book I cherish, even if I don’t always use it.

Thanks for reading, ya'll.
